Cooking Flops
THEME FOR MARCH 2013
Everyone has had a disaster in the kitchen at one time or another. Even the most experienced cook can be distracted and added too much salt, forgot to set the timer, or omit a crucial ingredient.
Maybe it was our mistake, maybe it was the recipe’s fault, but either way, they happen. They mark our memories, rearing their heads to teach us lessons and give us more places to go. Unfortunately, they scare people off of cooking and baking. That doesn’t have to be the case. After all, everyone who has ever baked or cooked a lot has had something go wrong. It’s part of the fun, part of the process.
Hopefully your mistake has been a learning experience. We've fondly laughed at the memories, even though it was not particularly funny at the time.
Tell us about your own personal cooking flops in the kitchen, the reactions, how you fixed it, and the end result. Your story could help a new cook. Share Your Story…..
Your story will be aired every Thursday morning on the Household Express program with Sister Ammarah.
