The newly launched Samsung Galaxy A51 is a real head turner and garnering a lot of attention for its flagship features and reasonable price point.
I have been using the A51 for a couple of weeks and I can say it is a stunning device without mentioning the breathtaking colors.
The Galaxy A51 including the Galaxy A71, the latest additions to the Galaxy A series were unveiled at a media event in Sandton.
Samsung is making huge strides in the midrange mobile phone market and these two devices are sure to lure users to the brand who want premium quality phones with flagship features.
The Galaxy A51 boasts 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and features a quad-lens rear camera systems with a 5MP Depth sensor, 48MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, and macro sensors.
The A51 features an 6.5 inch “Infinity-O” AMOLED edge to edge screen with resolutions of 1,800 x 2,400 pixels and also have on-screen fingerprint scanners, facial recognition, and support microSD cards of up to 512GB.
The device packs a 4,000 mAh battery but I was a bit disappointed that a full charge lasted only about two to three days.
While it has 25W and 15W fast charging capabilities that you come to expect from Galaxy smartphones, there is no wireless charging as I am now getting used to having no tangled cords.
The Galaxy A51 is available in two colours, prism crush black and prism crush blue. The device is currently available for a retail price of R 6,999.
Overall I am impressed with the A51 and from the number of enquiries I have been getting about the device during Radio Islam’s tech show on Sundays, I would say that Samsung has another winner like their other wonderful devices which has made them South Africa’s most loved brand.
