6-7 potatoes peeled and thickly sliced; boil potatoes in salted water until half done.
250 ml fresh cream
250 ml sour cream or creme fraiche
1 pkt Knorr white onion soup
1 tin creamstyle sweetcorn
1/4 cup melted butter or ghee
About 1 tblsp crushed green chillies
Salt n pepper to taste (remember potatoes have been boiled in a little salt)
About 400gr grated gouda or cheddar cheese
•Layer boiled n sliced potatoes in a suitable size oven dish or rectangular casserole.
•In another bowl whisk together fresh cream, sour cream, onion soup and all other ingredients except cheese.
•Pour this mixture all over potatoes.
•Spread grated cheese evenly all over and a little mixed herbs sprinkled on top.
•Bake in 180 degree oven until cheese is nice and golden brown.
