A Weeping Heart… Hajj

This heart weeps,

weeps to perform hajj before its beat stops,
before its soul is whisked away.

This heart weeps,
weeps to touch the soil of Madinah
where the beloved of Allah lies.

This heart weeps,
weeps to feast it’s eyes on the green dome of Madinah
knowing that the star of our ummah
our precious and most beloved
Nabi Muhammad sallahu alayhi wasallaam
lies awaiting our arrival

This heart weeps,
weeps for my beloved Prophet
to accept my salaam and durood
How do I control the river of tears?
I fear I will drown before I reach.

This heart weeps,
weeps to kiss the Hajre Aswad
Oh! will I get a chance?
To perform hajj and Umrah
To witness the Day of Arafah before my eyes.
To sleep under the open sky of Muzdalifah
To stone the Jamarah and punish them for leading me astray at times?

Ya Allah
only You my Allah
can hear the sound of my weeping heart…
