500g cubed steak / chicken or mince
2 tsp ground ginger / garlic red masala
1 tsp red chilies/ green
1 tsp dhunia jeera powder
1 Tbsp mustard sauce
1 Tbsp tomato sauce
Salt to taste
1 medium onion â chopped finely
1 Tbsp butter
Â½ green pepper diced
SautÃ© onions in butter, once have softened add the steak / chicken / mince.
When meat is nearly done, add green peppers and cook adding a little water if necessary.
Boil Â½ cup of spaghetti / vermicelli in salted water until al dente.
Boil 2 potatoes and mash well â add salt and a little green chutney to the mash (optional)
Method for cottage pie:
Layer ovenproof casserole with meat and cover with pasta
At this one may place sliced green peppers over pasta
If using cheese sauce pour over contents
Cover the casserole with mashed potatoes and sprinkle grated cheese over.
Sprinkle with herbs and black pepper.
Bake at 180 degrees till contents are heated thoroughly
Do not allow to dry out
