Gaza Deputy Health Minister Dr Yousef Abu Al-Rish has called on the international community to demand an end to the Israeli occupation forces targeting health institutions in Gaza.

Dr Al-Rish was addressing the media during a press conference after Israeli military airstrikes targeted the headquarters of the health ministry on Monday.

Israeli occupation forces have killed at least 212 Palestinians, including 61 children, 36 women, and 16 elderly people.

Some 1,400 others have been wounded after relentless bombing of Gaza by the apartheid state.

Dr Al-Rish says the bombing the Health Ministry headquarters and the main primary care centres will have a devastating effect on health care delivery to Gaza.

“This targeting of medical institutions is a war crime. The bombing caused the halting of the central laboratory’s services in which the Coronavirus tests were conducted, as well as vaccinations, pregnancy services, and telemedicine.”

Dr Al-Rish announced that the ministry would continue to provide services to citizens as they are subjected to continuous bombardment by the Israeli military strikes.
