With International travel now permitted and foreign pilgrims allowed to perform Umrah, it’s emerged that it takes just 35 minutes to disinfect and sterilize the Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Press Agency reports that the General Presidency of the Haram and Masjid-un-Nabawi has exerted great efforts in sterilizing and perfuming the Haram and its courtyard, an area estimated to be one million square meters.

SPA says the presidency has provided more than 4,000 cleaning workers who are present around the clock, working in four shifts.

Nine teams consisting of two supervisors for each team undertake the tasks of disinfection and sterilization completing the honourable task in just little more than half an hour.
