Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize has announced that the number of Coronavirus cases in South Africa has risen to 402
This is an increase of 128 from the 274 cases announced on Sunday.
Gauteng has the most infected cases with 207, the Eastern Cape 2 cases, the Free State 13, KwaZulu-Natal 60, Limpopo 4, Mpumalanga 9, North West 4, Western Cape at 100, Northern Cape 2 and unknown 1.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation on measures to be undertaken to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.
Mkhize says government will engage the public to give further details and explanations on the results including the significant rise, the ongoing testing processes, each provinces progresses on contract tracing efforts.
