The Lenasia community has been left shattered following the demise of two of the six renowned Sayed brothers.

On Friday, Abbas Sayed the chairman of the Saaberie Chishty tragically passed away in hospital while a day later, Osman Sayed, the president of the Lenasia based organization also sadly passed away.

A third brother, Abdullah is currently in quarantine after arriving from Pakistan during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Sayed brothers are renowed for their philantopic work in the Lenasia community and surrounds.

The Jamiat Ulama South Africa including a number of other organizations have expressed their condolences to the Sayed family.

Secretary General Ml Ebrahim Bham says Abbas and Osman will be remembered for their selfless and dedicated service to the community, through their work with Saaberie Chisty Society.

“May the Almighty forgive their souls, accept their noble deeds in the work of Deen and admit them to His Eternal Mercy. Aameen. We also would like to take this opportunity to relay our condolences to the family of the deceased, the membership of Saaberie Chisty Society and all the close associates of the deceased.”

Ml Bham reminded the Ummah that the departed among us are only starting a true phase of life of the Hereafter and that the departure of Abbas and Osman is  reminder that we too, will one day leave this temporary abode.
