Lenasia police are investigating a case of murder after a dead body was found at the Sasol Garage on the N12 West near Lenasia.

It’s understood the 21-year-old man was accosted by a group of unknown suspects who took him against his will and allegedly stabbed him.

Police say pathologists were summoned to the scene and the man was transferred to Diepkloof Government Mortuary.

Spokesperson Bafana Ndimande says the motive of the murder is unknown at this stage.

“Upon arrival at the crime scene an adult African male estimated to be 21 years old was found lying in the parking lot covered with a blanket and foil. The victim sustained a stab wound on the chest and the paramedics certified him dead at the scene.”

Ndimande has urged anyone with with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
