Limpopo Police Search for Seven Prison Escapees

Seven awaiting trial prisoners who escaped from Lebowakgomo police holding cells in Limpopo.

It’s understood the inmates who were arrested for various crimes including murder, rape and armed robbery, escaped in the early hours of this morning after cutting the roof of one of the cell blocks.

Police are urging the public not to approach the group as they are considered armed and dangerous

“The police in Lebowakgomo have launched a massive manhunt for seven awaiting trial prisoners who escaped from Lebowakgomo police holding cells. Anyone with information is requested to contact the station commander Colonel Margarett Kgwedi.”
