Gordon Duff, the editor of Veterans Today says African Americans are more likely to be interrogated by US police than white Americans are.

Duff was speaking to Radio Islam live from Ohio about US police fatally shooting a 20-yer-old black man, sparking protests not far from where a former police officer was on trial for the murder of George Floyd.

Daunte Wright was shot dead by a policewoman who appeared to confuse her handgun with her taser on Monday.

In police body camera video released earlier, an officer shouts “Taser! Taser! Taser!” but then instead fires a gun at the victim.

Duff says there is a massive disparity between how white and black Americans are treated in the US.

“There is no way that anyone white can have a remote understanding of the terror that African Americans [go through]. It’s a regular thing in the US that someone will be pulled over for stealing a car and it will be a member of congress, a professional sports player, a billionaire musician, pulled over and roughed up by the police.”

Duff says American police are allegedly in a league with criminals.

“American police departments, many of them are utterly and entirely corrupt. Minneapolis is absolutely one of those. Local FBI is deeply involved and embedded with organised crime itself.”

Duff says a ten-part TV series on Amazon Prime produced by an African American Little Marvin is a powerful indictment of racism in the United States adding that everybody should watch it.
