Esteemed Islamic scholar Mufti Shafiq Jakhura says if people want the pleasure of Allah, they have to go to those who have got the pleasure of Allah.

Mufti Jakhura was answering a question on Radio Islam’s Fiqh Q & A programme on Monday.

A listener posed a question about how he or she could make their main concern the pursuit of Allah’s pleasure, not pay attention to what people say and what are some of the books that will help them achieve their quest.

Mufti Jakhura says Hadrath Moulana Abdul Ganie Poelpuri (RA) used to say that if a person wants an item they would get it from a person that has that commodity; similarly, if you want the love of Allah, you will get it from the pious.

“If you want Allah also, you want the pleasure of Allah, you have to go those who got the pleasure of Allah and learn it from them. Ikhlas and sincerity, make ones intention, that whatever we are doing, we are doing solely for the pleasure of Allah.”

Mufti Jakhura says there is huge benefits in seeking the love and pleasure of Allah.

“A person does not look and have expectations in the creation. His eyes are focused all the time, his gaze is focused on the pleasure of Allah.”

Mufti Jakhura says Ml Yunus Patel (RA) used to say: “Do for Allah’s pleasure and Allah will give you from His treasure.”

Listen to Mufti Shafiq Jakhura’s reponse to attaining the love and pleasure of Allah.
