[LISTEN] Palestinian Muezzin Killed by Israeli Troops in occupied West Bank & Other Updates on The Palestinian Report

The Palestine Information Network’s (PIN) Hafez Ebrahim Moosa says the killing of a Muezzin in Beit Dajan, near Nablus in the occupied West Bank is heart breaking.

Hafez Moosa was speaking to Radio Islam during the Palestine Report on Monday.

According to reports the Muezzin was shot in the head after clashes erupted between Palestinian protesters and Israeli soldiers

The Palestinians were demonstrating against Israeli settlement activity.

Hafez Moosa says Muezzins are revered and highly regarded in Islam

“We do know Islamically speaking, the great status and the virtues of Muezzins, those who call onto Allah, those who will have a position of esteem on the day of Qiaamah.”

Hafez Moosa explains what happened during the protest

“The Israeli army opened up live fire into the protest and struck this particular muezzin by the name of Atef Yusuf Hanaysheh with a live round in his head. He’s barely 42-years-old and the muezzin of the masjid in the area called the Masjid Musa Bin Nusayr.”

Hafez Moosa also shared updates about Israeli’s heading to the polls, Palestinian family sprayed with skunk water in their home and other news.
