Ml Sulaiman Moola Encourages Muslim Women to Don Niqab Instead of Masks During COVID-19 to Earn Double Reward

As the world battles the COVID-19 pandemic, wearing the face mask has become compulsory in many countries including South Africa to stop the spread of the virus.

Men, women and even children don the new apparel to stay protected against infection from Coronavirus.

While there is no other benefit either than being protected from COVID-19 by wearing the mask, renowned Islamic scholar Ml Sulaiman Moola says Muslim women can use the opportunity to earn a double reward.

Ml Moola emphasized the importance of hijab is recognized through various days in South Africa, including “The Hijab Awareness Day, the Niqab Day and the Jilbab Day.”

Narrating a couplet, Ml Moola says: “The poet says preserve and protect your modesty and bashfulness because indeed that is the salient feature of a believing woman.”

Ml Moola has appealed to Muslim women to be motivated by more than just donning the mask.

He says there is an opportunity for a quick reward while staying safe at the same time.

“Instead of putting on the mask, why don’t you don the niqab? Every time you exit, you have your hijab, you have your jilbab and just put on the niqab, the benefit of that will be dual. So I urge you my brother, buy a mask for yourself, but buy a niqab for your sister. Gradually take the steps. The opportunity has knocked on your door, don’t resist it, embrace it.”

Ml Moola says when a person embarks on act of virtue with the intention of reward, then Allah will reward them for it.”
