Humanitarian organisation Muslim Women of Wonder Foundation has distributed over two thousand Eid Shoe Boxes to Madrassah’s in Ennerdale, Eldorado Park, Lenasia South, Noordgesig and Newclare among other areas.

The initiative forms part of the organisations gifts to mark the end of the blessed month of Ramadan.

Other organisations involved in the project include, Miny Miracles and Islamic Helpline.

The Eid Shoe Boxes contains toiletries, stationery, sweet packs and winter warmers.

Muslim Women of Wonder Foundation’s Faheema Patel says we all need to play our part to ensure that the needy are taken care off, especially the children who also fasted during the holy month of Ramadan.

“With the current COVID-19 pandemic, many South Africans and their families have been left destitute and needy by the economic impact of the virus. These gifts are a small token to show that we care and can put a precious smile on the face of a child.”

Patel has encouraged more people to embark on humanitarian projects that can make a huge difference to the various communities throughout South Africa.
