Programme Summary – The Q & A programme

Radio Islam Programming – 3 April 2017

Moulana Suhaib Lasanya hosts the Q & A programme, Tuesday evenings between 8 and 10pm. The programme gives listeners an opportunity to ask questions regarding the rulings and teachings of Islam.

Mufti Zubair Bayat, founder of Darul Ihsan in KZN, and Mufti Siraj Desai, rector of Darul Uloom Abu Bakr in Port Elizabeth, joins Moulana Suhaib on alternate weeks to educate the listeners and provide authentic answers to the questions being posed. The programme is not based on any specific topic therefore any Islamic related question may be asked.

Along with the answers, at times, the guest Mufti will also give some advice regarding that particular topic. This is welcomed by the questioner. The SMS and Whatsapp line for the programme is 076 786 2984 and the email address is suhaib@radioislam.co.za

In the latest edition of the programme, Mufti Siraj Desai was the Guest Mufti. Mufti sahib educated the listeners by answering various questions. Some of the questions posed were…

“Slmz Mufti Saab. I am suffering from depression. I no longer have interest in life. I think of suicide. What Wazifas can I read to get Shifa.”

“Assalma Alaikum With which foot should you leave the house when going out?”

“Aslmulykum dear respected Mufti Saheb. I would like to know when a lady in Nikaab is travelling on a journey with her husband can she remove her Nikaab? During the day.”

“Slmz Mufti. What Duas can one read when looking for trustworthy employees?”

The answers to the various questions benefits all the listeners. For this reason, there are many listeners who tune in weekly even though they don’t ask any questions of their own.

The presenter of the programme, Moulana Suhaib, does not mention the names of the questioner on air or to the guest Mufti. This is also greatly appreciated by the listeners. Listeners also have the option of sending in their questions as anonymous.

Regarding the programme, Moulana Suhaib says…

“Alhamdulillah, via Radio Islam’s weekly Fiqh Q and A programme, the listeners are benefiting tremendously and  they are afforded the opportunity to query anything that’s on their mind by posing their questions or merely seeking guidance from the two experienced and learned Muftis, Mufti Siraj Desai and Mufti Zubair Bayat.”

Catch the Q & A programme, Tuesday evenings between 8 and 10pm.
