Marhoom Ml AR Khan who heralded from KwaZulu-Natal and Ebrahim Simjee passed away last week.

Sahuc’s Shaheen Essop says the passing of Marhoom Ml AR Khan and Ebrahim Simjee is a huge a blow for the hajj industry.

“Both of these personalities were very integral to the industry of hajj. Both of these personalities were very instrumental in assisting the hujjaj in very different ways.”

Essop shared the work that Marhoom Ml Khan did for Sahuc.

“Ml AR Khan in a manner within fatawa, withing hajj guidance, within the books he had written on hajj that has helped many a hajji in the past years or in the past decades to perform their hajj according to the manasiq and according to the sunnah.”

Essop says Marhoom Simjee was a stalwart and strong name in the hajj industry.

“He certainly has shown many of us who came after him into that industry about the processes and helped us to tailor and direct different process and structures within the hajj industry. He went onto become a person who served the pilgrims and muta’mireen both locally and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He assisted at the airports and was on our hajj mission.”

May Allah grant the marhooms the highest stages of Jannah and their families Sabr-e-Jameel, ameen.
